Dr. N. Balakrishnan came to give his speech entitled Generalized Gamma Frailty Model and Applications to a score of SME faculty members and grads on March 18, 2010.

    A Gamma Frailty Model expanded to include in Gamma distribution, Weibull distribution and log-normal distribution is given account of in his lecture, with relevant procedure of reasoning and deducing briefed and supporting cases exemplified.

    Mr. Balakrishnan is now a professor of McMaster University, Canada, working on distribution theories and related learning. He is also the chief editor of Communications in Statistics, an influential periodical published in USA.
